Assembling the coop.
Go back to Cutting list

Start by assembling the front and back walls. Do not assemble any of the rafters at this time. Notice the cutout at the top of the end wals. This is for the tie bar to hold things together. Screw every thing together using 2 1/2 wood screws. Some will be driven in at an angle.

You can see the frame front assembly. There are slight differences between the assembled version and the drawings. If there is any doubt, please refer to the drawings.

Build the rear frame from the drawing using the same methods.

Connect the front and rear frames together using the various cross pieces and the base. Add the cross pieces for the roosts and entrance door.

Everything is in place. The small triangles are scraps from the rafter construction and hold the roosts in place.

There are several options for the roosts.
