I have many interests but not the time or money to pursue many of them. This page is little
more than a quick introduction. I used to live in Southern California, inland Northern San Diego
County on 2 acres. Now I am traveling around the country in a I was born in Southern California but moved to a farm 7 miles east of Kahoka in North East Missouri when I was about 5. There I learned many things about how to be self sufficient, and to be able drive, fix, or build just about anything. My father dug wells and did witching, and picked up jobs moving heavy objects. I learned mechanics and welding keeping farm machinery working. One uncle ran a welding shop Wayland Missouri and did heavy equipment repair so I learned what I could there. Another uncle had a construction company so I learned how to operate heavy equipment. An uncle ran a sawmill in Arbela and built houses and barns so I learned construction and milling. One uncle by marriage had an appliance shop in Canton and did house wiring which exposed me to electricity and electronics. An aunt was a curator at the Anderson House Museum in Lexington and exposed me to history. I have continued to learn and study all the above over the years. I left the farm to join the Navy where I learned electronics. A couple of WestPacs to Vietnam and my tour was over. I left the Navy, went to school, got married, raised three children, worked as a software engineer, lived in Texas, Washington, and now Southern California. I have been married for 32 years, one son is a grad student in UCLA, another son works for Autozone and our daughter has a son of her own. I was working as a contract software engineer until late 2001. Since that time I have not been able to find another position. My business partner and myself folded our software business in the spring of 2002 due to complete lack of business. I started a custom and home repair business soon after. In the fall of 2003 I shut the business down for 6 months while I recovered from a complete right knee replacement. All went well and I recovered quickly and restarted the business in the spring of 2004. In the winter of 2005 I shut down for the final time.
